VIP at Brown’s London Art Weekend

Mayfair may be synonymous with the discerning shopper and the game-changing rents of Monopoly, but the central London district is also home to over 100 independent art galleries and a number of prestigious auction houses – and it is these institutions, and the art in which they trade, that are being celebrated by Brown’s London Art Weekend.

Now in its second year, the festival will be hosting over 100 exhibitions, in addition to art walks (including one mapped out by top designer, Nicole Fahri) and a series of talks covering topics ranging from ‘How to start your art collection’ to ‘Fashion in Art’ and ‘The history of art in Mayfair’.

“This really is an artistic and cultural hub,” says Sophie Darley of Brown’s Hotel, the esteemed Mayfair establishment that serves as the epicentre of the weekend-long event.

“Sometimes people see Mayfair as being somewhat inaccessible, but actually the galleries want you to go in. The doors are in fact open and whatever your artistic slant or preference is, there’ll be something for you.”

If, however, you are looking for a more immersive experience with access to the upper echelons of London’s art scene, then book your place on the Brown’s Hotel Art Weekend Adventures in Art VIP Experience.

Strictly limited to only 20 guests, the VIP Experience offers a three-night stay at Brown’s – including a welcome reception and dinner hosted by participating gallery owners, curators and art experts – and a spectacular array of privileged access, including:

  • Private visits to the White Cube and Victoria Miro galleries.
  • Private visits to several artist’s studios and the private home of some of London’s biggest art collectors.
  • Private visit to Peschar Sculpture Gallery, England’s most beautiful sculpture garden, including lunch hosted by Hannah Peschar and Anthony Paul.
  • Private tour and champagne reception at Spencer House, an 18th Century palace, and the ancestral home of the late Diana Princess of Wales, which is adorned with paintings from the Royal Collection.
  • Behind the scenes visit to Christie’s, including lunch in the boardroom.
  • An evening at the celebrated Holland Park Opera Festival, featuring Aida and an al fresco supper.

The VIP Experience will be led by Adventures in Art CEO, Karen Stone Talwar. Karen will be on hand throughout the weekend to share her knowledge and offer advice on potential purchases.

The VIP Experience costs from £2,8000 per person sharing a King Classic Room and from £3,595.00 per person for single occupancy of a King Classic Room. Victor members will receive a room upgrade, subject to availability.
