Gulfstream G650 vs. Bombardier Global 6000

The new G650 arrived on the charter market in 2014 as the self-proclaimed king of the skies – it is faster, longer and has a larger cabin volume than the Global 6000. Continuing the success of the G550, the G650 possesses many of it’s superior characteristics. A jet that flies at more than 92 per cent of the speed of sound for thousands of miles with fly-by-wire precision. The same design innovation created a quite, roomier, more adaptable cabin teeming with advanced technology.

The G650 is an aircraft in high demand with only a handful available for charter, the majority being in the US. Therefore, chartering comes at a premium. Victor recently chartered one from Farnborough, London to Los Angeles – the G650 commanding $100,000 dollars more for the flight than the Global 6000.

The Global 6000 is an excellent alternative to the G650 and is less expensive to charter.

The Global 6000 in contrast has a flexible wing structure that allows it to compensate for the effects of turbulence.
