Recipe for Adrenaline: Lamborghini Experience

Victor would like to highlight Lamborghini Academy Squadra Corse Race Series; an initiative that introduces Lamborghini owners and prospective owners, to the exciting world of Lamborghini – and the full potential of the car and themselves.

The opportunity to improve driving skills and experience Lamborghini’s sports cars under a range of driving conditions proved so inspirational that one Victor member subsequently swapped the rat-race for a race of a completely different kind.

There’ll be more about his story in the forthcoming Victor magazine (with a sneak preview supplement in this weekend’s Financial Times). Here, we answer your top five questions about this adrenaline-fueled experience:

Who can attend?

The Lamborghini Accademia is open to Lamborghini owners and admirers alike, with no prior knowledge necessary. You’ll share the experience with Lamborghini’s professional instructors and racing drivers.

What will we be driving?

The Gallardo Super Trofeo: the cars taking part in the ultimate one-make race series, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. You’ll be developing your skills at top tracks such as Imola, Hockenheim and Laguna Seca.

What will we be doing?

You’ll benefit from technical and safety briefings before undertaking handling and performance exercises, such as managing understeer and oversteer; practising manoeuvres with and without ABS and ESP; mastering ‘controlled drifting’ and finding the ideal racing line on the track – everything you need to know in order to get the most out of the car and yourself.

What’s next?

If you get a taste for the Lamborghini life, you can opt for ice-driving at its Winter Academy, night-driving at its Black-Out Academy or enjoy the experience of driving the entire range, including Gallardo LP 560-4, Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera and the Aventador LP 700-4. If you’ve really caught the bug, you could even take part in a Super Trofeo race. Which is exactly what happened to Victor member and entrepreneur Tim Richards – but we’re afraid you’ll have to wait for the latest issue of the Victor magazine to read his story. In the meantime, why not get behind the wheel yourself?
