Victor’s guide to summer in North America

Given that we are now well into the peak travel season, we decided to put together a carefully curated list for those looking to remain in North America during the summer holidays. In this article, we offer a guide to our favorite locations in Tennessee, Mexico, California, and Florida…

The best place for families to reconnect with nature

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Cabo San Lucas has a reputation for being a place where people spend a lot of money to do very little, however, it does also offer some incredible family friendly activities. Here, you can explore the Baja Sur’s adventurous side by swimming with whale sharks, hiking through the Baja Sierras, and snorkeling in Cabo Pulmo Marine Park – the marine biodiverse waters were once called the “aquarium of the world” by Jacques Cousteau.

Apart from the stunning range of activities available in the Pacific waters, there is also plenty to enjoy shoreside. Consider watching the sun go down as you enjoy the incredible menu of Chef Hector Morales at ‘Sunset Monalisa’ one of the most spectacular restaurants and best fine dining experiences in Los Cabos. The best place for music and nightlife

Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville, often dubbed “Music City,” is a city which exceeds its reputation. As the heartland of country music, it holds a special place in the hearts of music lovers, where the iconic Nashville Sound was honed and brought to life. Notably, the legendary Grand Ole Opry radio show played a pivotal role in nurturing musical legends such as Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton.

Yet, Nashville offers more than just its captivating soundtrack. Starting from the honky-tonk-filled downtown and spreading out to areas like Germantown in the north and The Gulch in the south, each district boasts a unique character. Nashville is perhaps one of the trendiest destinations at the moment for those looking to enjoy unique nightlife with a group of friends or family. Fly to Nashville

The best place to relax and unwind

Wine Region, California

It’s been a long, busy and eventful year so far. As the scorching summer heat begins to take hold and the children enjoy the final weeks of school, few can resist the urge to unwind and enjoy a little slice of ‘me time’. And after all, is it really ‘me time’ if you don’t have a glass of wine in hand?  Just an hour’s drive away from Napa Valley is the stunning Peter Michael Winery which serves fifteen wines in four varietal categories. All but one is estate-grown in their mountainside vineyards, and all are crafted by hand and in limited production.  Fly to Sacramento

A little something for everyone

The Keys, Florida

Whether you seek underwater adventures, historical explorations, or a romantic getaway, the Florida Keys have something for everyone. For nature enthusiasts, Dry Tortugas National Park offers incredible marine life and abundant bird species. The park’s secluded location makes it one of the country’s least-visited national parks, perfect for those seeking an unspoiled retreat.

There are, of course, ample opportunities for history buffs to visit the former homes of Ernest Hemingway and Harry S Truman. If you are looking for a break from seafood and Key Lime Pie, Latitudes restaurant, located on Sunset Key, features an idyllic setting as well as delectable cuisine.  Fly to Key West
